1: Site Approval Process |
Application
- The site is initiated
with a complete application providing all the information necessary
for railroad personnel to locate the site and make an informed decision
on it’s suitability.
- A photo of the base
area of the proposed site is included showing the rail bed in the
photo.
- A copy of the track
chart is also attached if available.
Cross Section
-
The Application is
accompanied by a Cross Section accurately depicting the proposed
clearances and dimensions of the structure in relation to the
rail corridor.

Horizontal and vertical
clearances are given from the pole as well as the actual sign
face.
Railroad Review
- Joint field visits
with railroad personnel if any additional information to satisfy
railroad’s requirements.
